This model features a plusher interior environment and a renewed seamless upper, creating the ultimate in comfort and fit. Runners will feel light and energized with every step of even their longest run.

Upper: Engineered mesh adds combined structure and breathability. Adjustable Saddle Construction optimizes the midfoot wrap through the lacing system. Synthetic Overlays provide lightweight support. Moisture-managing Element Linings help maintain a dry feel. Padded tongue and heel collar enhance comfort. Lace-up front offers an adjustable fit.

Midsole: BioMoGo DNA midsole provides adaptive cushioning. Full-length Segmented Crash Pad delivers smooth transitions. Omega Flex Grooves enhance the flexibility of the midsole and provide an effortless forefoot ride while still offering great cushioning and midsole integrity. Universal Sprung Platform is semi-curved for an accommodating fit and a substantial amount of toe spring.

Outsole: HPR Plus is a higher durability, abrasion-resistant rubber outsole compound that wears longer. Forefoot Cush Pod construction sets the foot in an efficient, balanced position and offers maximum cushioning and flexibility. Blown Rubber Forefoot is a lower density rubber compound designed to improve forefoot cushioning with minimal weight.

Runner's World Best Buy
September 2016

"The Ghost has long been a workhorse, earning five Editor’s Choice awards in the past. That reliability combined with a steady $120 price tag (unchanged for a third straight year) helped it claim our Best Buy award. In an age where $150 and $160 shoes have become commonplace, the Ghost delivers a ton for considerably less. It has the soft heel cushioning that runners love for long efforts and a firmer forefoot that feels fast anytime you decide to pick up the pace. The outsole has a thick layer of rubber, so it’s going to withstand heavy pounding and a lot of miles; but there are plenty of grooves in that rubber, which provides for smooth ground contact. "
