Running for Jim - Documentary Honors California's Top Cross-Country Coach
Jim Tracy, the top cross-country coach in California, is the subject of a new documentary.

The cross-country coach with the most wins in California history (including the 2011 & 2012 California state championships), Jim suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as, Lou Gehrig's disease.

AS a coach, he is beloved. Do you remember when high school cross-country runner Holland Reynolds crawled across the finish line to honor her coach? That coach was Jim Tracy.

Jim is described as the "deeply dedicated, brutally honest and often irreverent coach of the San Francisco University High School (UHS) Cross-Country team."

Running for Jim premiers at the Soho International Film Festival in New York City, April 9, 2013.

All proceeds from the film go to A Midwinter Night’s Dream, a student-run non-profit organization that raises funds for ALS research.
