Onix is one of the most respected pickleball brands on the market today, used by pro pickleball players like Bryon Freso, Bonnie Williams, and Steve Cole. And we've compiled the top Onix pickleball paddles for you here.

For a more in-depth review of the different Onix models, see our breakdowns below.

Onix Graphite Z5 WideBody Pickleball Paddle

The Z5 is Onix’s flagship paddle, and quite possibly the most popular pickleball paddle on the market.

It has a graphite face with gives you a little better control, though a tad less power. The Z5 has a wider face and therefore a larger sweet spot.

One of the reasons the Z5 is so popular is because it's closer in size to a tennis racquet.  This makes it easy to transition from playing tennis over to pickleball.

The Graphite Z5 is lighter than the Composite model which will give you a little more speed and maneuverability. This can be especially helpful playing defense at the net.

Who is the Onix Graphite Z5 for?

The Graphite Z5 is a great paddle for intermediate players, especially ones coming from a racquet sport like tennis or racquetball.

The Graphite version might not have enough power for newbies, but probably not enough touch for very experienced pickleball players.

Onix Composite Z5 WideBody Pickleball Paddle

The Onix Composite Z5 is the ultimate beginner's pickleball paddle.

It has a composite facing material which gives it more power than the Graphite Z5. This is what makes it better suited for newer players who haven’t developed their arm muscles for swinging just yet.

However, if you’re new to pickleball, but you’ve got experience playing tennis, then you’d probably prefer the Graphite Z5 model. It's got better touch and control for players with experience in racquet sports.

The Composite Z5 is a good bit heavier than the Graphite model which will give you a little more stability and plow-through power. You'll notice the difference in stability when you loosen your grip to slow down a fast-flying ball.

And you'll appreciate the extra plow-through power if you're playing singles and hitting more shots from backcourt.

Who is the Onix Composite Z5 for?

The Composite Z5 is the perfect paddle for beginners. It's got plenty of power while you're building up your swinging muscles.

This paddle is also great for recreational players, especially if you're playing more singles because of the extra power for your long strokes.

Onix Stryker 4 Graphite Pickleball Paddle

The Onix Stryker 4 is a beginner's paddle that has a nice blend of power and control.

The control comes from its graphite face, which is more absorbing than composite. And while graphite usually means less power, this paddle gets its power for a different reason.

Both Z5 models are widebody paddles, which gives you a more spread-out sweet spot. But the Stryker 4 has an oversized body, which is smaller than a widebody paddle. The benefit is that the sweet spot is more powerful.

And because this is such a lightweight paddle, you're not going to feel hindered switching from forehand to backhand.

Who is the Onix Stryker 4 Graphite for?

The Onix Stryker 4 is ideal for new pickleball players who want a powerful paddle that also has plenty of touch.

                  Onix Sub Zero Pickleball Paddle

The Onix Sub Zero is a performance-level paddle that's geared a little more towards control and touch.

The graphite facing material is what gives it more touch compared to a composite paddle. This also means you've got to generate a little more of your own power.

It's got a widebody design which gives you a more generous sweet spot. So even if you don't hit the ball dead-center on every shot, you're still going to have more consistency in how you return it.

The Sub Zero is a medium-weight paddle, so it's got decent plow-through power and stability.  And yet it still feels pretty light in your hand, allowing you to maneuver around as needed.

Who is the Onix Sub Zero for?

The Onix Sub Zero is for experienced players who are looking for more touch from their paddle.  It's going to be a little better suited for defense and your soft game.

                  Onix Summit C1 Pickleball Paddle

The Summit C1 Pickle Paddle is an intermediate-level paddle with a very long, thin face.

This paddle's elongated body gives you better reach, but the sweet spot will be much smaller so you'll need to be a little more precise with your shots.

And the Summit C1 is shorter than many typical elongated paddles, at only 16 & ⅜ inches long. The maximum paddle length is 17 inches, but some players find these extra-long paddles to be too thin.  The Summit C1 sits in the elongated paddle sweet spot.

It has a composite face material which is going to lend a little more power, over touch.

Who is the Onix Summit C1 for?

The Summit C1 pickleball paddle is for intermediate players who want a longer paddle face to help hit shots they typically might have trouble reaching.

It's also going to give players a little more leverage behind their shots, and when combined with the composite material, this will give them even more power.

Also because it has a shorter handle, the Summit C1 might not be ideal for players who like to make two-handed shots. Of course, you could simply overlap your hands to make a shot, so it's really just a personal preference.

Onix Graphite Evoke Teardrop Pickleball Paddle

The Onix Graphite Evoke Teardrop is an intermediate-level paddle for players looking for touch, over more power.

It has a graphite facing material which is going to help absorb ball impact, and give you better control over your shots.  This means you'll need to generate more of your own power, compared to using a composite paddle.

The teardrop body design gives you a well-balanced feel. You could compare this type of paddle to a tennis or racquetball racquet.

Who is the Onix Graphite Evoke Teardrop for?

The Onix Graphite Evoke Teardrop is for intermediate players who prioritize touch over having more power.

It's also going to be a little better for players looking for a slightly lighter paddle for better maneuverability.

Onix Composite Evoke Teardrop Pickleball Paddle

The Onix Composite Evoke Teardrop is an intermediate-level paddle for players looking for more power, at the slight cost of control.

The composite facing material is going to give you better pop and power behind your shots. However, you'll have to use a little more of your own touch to slow shots down.

The Composite Evoke Teardrop is on the heavier side compared to the Graphite Evoke Teardrop. This gives you better stability, for example, when loosening your grip to dink the ball.

Who is the Onix Composite Evoke Teardrop for?

The Onix Composite Evoke Teardrop is for intermediate players who prefer a little more power over control and touch.

This paddle is also going to be a little heavier, which will give you more plow-through power behind your shots.

                  Onix Evoke Pro Pickleball Paddle

The Onix Evoke Pro is a performance-level paddle that leans a little more towards power, over control.

The composite face material is what gives it more power compared to a graphite model. This means you'll have to use more of your own touch for dink shots.

It's got a more generous sweet spot thanks to the widebody design. So your shots will still be more consistent, even if you don't hit the ball on the perfect spot each time.

The Evoke Pro paddle has a medium weight, so you're going to have plenty of maneuverability for defense.  But you'll also have moderate plow-through power for offense.

Who is the Onix Evoke Pro for?

The Onix Evoke Pro is for more advanced players who are looking for a little more power out of their paddle. This usually means players who like to go on the offense and attack.
